blank.

no idea why you just left a blank screen up for so long

pad your keys with some frames

Solid anatomy. Could use some more anticipation/ease in/ease out.
Good work

Stick figures are dead.

Please animate things that aren't stick figures.
If you can't draw, maybe see if you can learn a 3d package and focus on the animation side.
This is super well animated but
stick figures?
haven't we gotten past this?

KeiKuzco responds:

I can draw, but i enjoy stick figures
and if you dont then dont watch it

eh?

The " Wah wah, wah wah wah!" part at the start was kind of funny. I think that the shark attack would have been better if there was a little bit more time between him seeing the scope and the shark eating him.

The scope goes down.
The kid looks around...
He kind of shakes his head and blinks a bit.
Then he starts to relax
THEN A FUCKING SHARK EATS HIM.

Just starting out.

Don't use motion tweens to do anything but horizontal motions. When an object rotates it must be redrawn, or it will look wrong.
Don't use silver gradiants(sp?) unless you absolutely must.
Silhouettes are cool but don't HAVE to be jet black.

Things that will make you better at a rapid speed:
Read Animators survival kit.
Do 5 still life drawings of a bar, spending no less than an hour on each.
Plan your colors out before you put them into your film.
Tween only when you must.

Keep animating,
It will only get more rewarding.

TopazPie responds:

Thanks for all the advice :) ya I'm going to spend more time on my scenes because they are pretty much just blank space haha very helpful

Form over content/content over form

Formally this was not very good, you put alot of time into drawing his leg frames but failed to recoginize that people go UP and DOWN when they walk.

Content: there wasn't really any. But on some level I did appreciate the minimalist attitude and the calm silent stroll to our pearshaped hero and his colorful trinket.

abstract.

abstract animations can be fun to do, they are a kind of release if you dont have any other ideas to pour your creative energies into, on the other hand.
abstract animation is too personal, too off the wall to for others to be able to relate to it with any ease. its best to keep them to yourself, and definately keep somthing that personal away from the kind of people you might find here!
overall I can tell that you dont study anatomy too obsessivley to say the least, and you havent thought through just how many people concentrate on the eye, when they sketch, and especially when they animate. so instead of deep it comes of as generic
try taking a different perspective on things for awhile before you astound us all with your originality (not sarcasm)
either way
it was better than worse.

dont do anything about samuri

to be fair I didn't watch your animation.

but I am an animation student going to AIP
the general polocy in the industry right now is "the less japanise the better"

and if your reply is somthing like "what about batman beyond" guess what, thats made by japanise animators.
